TRANSPORT & MAJOR INFRASTRUCTURE

Sustainability and delivery advice for complex infrastructure projects.

FD supports agencies, authorities, contractors, consortia and project teams to turn sustainability commitments into clear requirements, coordinated decisions and defensible project outcomes. We combine delivery-side sustainability experience with energy, infrastructure and commercial advisory capability.

WHY IT MATTERS

The strategy creates value only if it survives delivery.

Major infrastructure projects carry complex commitments across ratings, carbon, resources, resilience, procurement, stakeholders and reporting. These requirements pass through multiple organisations, packages and project stages, creating real risk of gaps between bid promises, design decisions and delivery evidence.

FD helps clients establish a workable pathway early, embed it in project controls and maintain a clear line of sight from the intended outcome to the evidence required at completion.

DECISIONS WE HELP CLIENTS MAKE

The questions we help project teams answer.

Which sustainability and Infrastructure Sustainability rating outcomes are appropriate and achievable?
How should tender commitments be tested, costed, allocated and translated into delivery responsibilities?
What requirements must be embedded in design briefs, packages, contracts and project controls?
How should carbon, energy, materials, waste, water, resilience and social outcomes be prioritised?
What evidence and assurance pathway will demonstrate compliance and protect the rating outcome?
How should design changes, value engineering and programme pressure be managed without losing critical commitments?
Where can energy, utility, procurement or commercial advice strengthen the wider infrastructure outcome?
